PyTorch (or its C++ API, LibTorch) is a heavy dependency for almost everything related to 3DGS, especially considering how little of its full capabilities are actually used.
In most 3DGS implementations, few of PyTorchโs real advantages are leveraged.
Iโm wondering whether a lighter, more suitable alternative would be preferable in general.
