GigaGS: Scaling up Planar-Based 3D Gaussians for Large Scene Surface Reconstruction

โข โTo the best of our knowledge, we are the first to utilize 3DGS for large-scale surface reconstruction. โข Based on a large-scene partitioning strategy, we present a novel method to add multi-view photometric and geometric consistency constraints within a Level-of-Detail(LoD) framework. โข Comprehensive experiments on various datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method for large scene surface reconstruction.โ
