DeSiRe-GS: 4D Street Gaussians for Static-Dynamic Decomposition and Surface Reconstruction for Urban Driving Scenes
Contributions: โข We propose to extract motion information easily from appearance differences based on a simple observation that 3DGS cannot successfully model the dynamic regions.
โข We then distill the extracted 2D motion priors in local frames into global gaussian space, using time-varying Gaussians in a differentiable manner.
โข We introduce effective 3D regularizations and temporal cross-view consistency to generate physically reasonable Gaussian ellipsoids, further enhancing high-quality decomposition and reconstruction.
